Forex Market Open And Close Times
What are the Forex market open and close times? The forex market breaks down into four primary sessions. The London session, New York, Australia /Sydney and Asian/Tokyo sessions. Each session has certain pairs that move the most during that session (volatility). Also as a whole, certain sessions have more volatility than the others.
The London session is the first session and the most volatile session and the primary currencies with the most volatility include GBP, EUR & CHF.
The New York session is next in terms of volatility and order and the primary currencies during that time are the USD and the CAD.
Next up is the Australian session in order and volatility and the currencies that move the most during this time period are the AUD and the NZD.
Last session for both order and volatility is the Asian/Tokyo session. The primary currency during this time is the JPY.
You may be wondering what are the time frames of these sessions, I break them down in the video and go more in detail about the currencies and more. Let’s check it out.
